The fund has assisted in many transformational projects within the community.

RATIONALISATION OF WELFARE IN JOHANNESBURG
Foundation 2000 negotiated the transaction and financing of the Chevrah Kadisha in taking over Sandringham Gardens and later Our Parents home and the Selwyn Segal. This transformed the Chev from a burial society into the powerhouse of Johannesburg welfare that it is today. This rationalisation of welfare and elimination of duplication and wasted costs by the excellent management of the Chev saves the community tens of millions of rands year while providing an incredible service to the community.
COMMUNITY SECURITY IN JOHANNESBURG
Foundation 2000 provided the initial funding for the Chief Rabbi's CAP security programme. Crime was extremely high, and many members of the community were immigrating. CAP has transformed the safety and security of many of Johannesburg's suburbs which enables our community to live more safely.
EMERGENCY SECURITY RELIEF
In 2014 there was a security threat to the community at Rosh Hashanah time. Foundation 2000, at short notice, provided significant funds to secure the schools, shul, and community organisations with concrete ballasts, security equipment and extra personnel for the required period of time.

Foundation 2000 has assisted with the funding of many school building initiatives
In April 2020 - Foundation 2000 and the Chief Rabbi initiated the establishment of a large business rescue fund to assist small and medium-sized businesses in the wake of the economic crisis resulting from COVID-19. Many businesses were struggling in lockdown with minimal sales and cash flow. This initiative resulted in the creation of the Gesher Fund which is providing cash flow relief to a large number of small and medium-size businesses. Gesher.org.za
